ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wrote a letter on Friday to the Chief Election Commissioner demanding immediate dismissal of Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana.
PTI central senior vice president Babar Awan, in his letter to the CEC, said that Punjab governor was influencing the upcoming election process due to his association with PML-N.
He further said that the process of free, fair and impartial elections in Punjab can not be guaranteed as long as Rajwana remains governor.
The PTI leader noted that the Governor Punjab’s son Asif Rajwana will contest election from PP-214 on PML-N ticket. He complained that the resources are being wasted on the election campaign of PML-N candidates from Governor House.
He demanded the authorities to oust the Governor Punjab immediately for free, fair and impartial elections in Punjab.
